Use Cases
Energy Audit for LEED EB O+M
An energy audit is a comprehensive assessment that examines how energy is used within a building, identifying opportunities for efficiency improvements, cost savings, and reduced carbon emissions. In the context of LEED EB O+M, these audits are not merely a compliance exercise but a strategic approach to sustainable building management. They provide building owners and facility managers with detailed insights into energy consumption across various systems, including HVAC, lighting, electrical equipment, and building envelope components. The primary objectives of an energy audit for LEED EB O+M certification include: Establishing a baseline of current energy performance Identifying specific areas of energy waste or inefficiency Recommending targeted improvements that can enhance building performance Supporting the documentation required for LEED energy and atmosphere credits Developing a roadmap for ongoing energy management and continuous improvement By conducting thorough energy audits, building managers can not only work towards LEED certification but also create more sustainable, cost-effective, and environmentally responsible facilities. These audits serve as a critical first step in transforming existing buildings into high-performance structures that minimize environmental impact while maximizing operational efficiency.
